Implemented Vote Rewards for OP PvP

Preface:

I understand that voting is completely optional. The rewards we are given upon voting are a courtesy and the MineVerse server is in no way obligated to reward players when voting.

However, when players take time out of their day to vote and support the server, it would be nice to get given something back, something that can benefit them on each gamemode.

Currently on OP PvP, you receive these items when you vote.




While the key and the $10 are valuable to the player, the OP weapons received are almost always immediately thrown away. OP swords can easily be retrieved every 1 minute & thirty seconds using /kit op, with the added benefit of receiving a set as well. So getting 3 OP swords when voting doesn't seem like much of a "reward".


Another "OP Weapon" you receive upon voting is a knock-back 10 stick. These are also useless and are thrown away immediately, especially since you can get them in other kits as a ranked player. Also, knock-back sticks are not a favourite of the community, shown by these threads:

Add dura to kb sticks
Removal of kb sticks on OP
Remove kb sticks
remove kb5+
remove kb from axes


It's obvious that the community does not benefit and does not want knock-back sticks in the game at all, so putting them as a "reward" for voting does not make sense.


OPTIONAL ALTERNATIVES

Instead of having "OP Weapons" as rewards, please consider;

• Increasing the amount of money gained per vote (e.g. $15 or $20 instead of $10)​
• Reward players with a better sword upon voting (as suggested here)​
• Increasing the chance of getting an extra key / extra money when voting​
• Increasing the amount of keys per vote (2 instead of 1)​
• Reward players with a set of armour upon voting (these are obviously more useful than just a sword, even if it is just kit OP)​

TO ANYONE WHO IS CONFUSED:

This thread is NOT the advocation of removing knock-back sticks completely, there are plenty of threads regarding this. It is also NOT a suggestion focused on the 5 alternatives to OP weapons above. Those are just simple ideas to get the ball rolling on what else could be given instead of the weapons.

My suggestion is to remove "OP Weapons" from the collection of vote rewards received upon voting.​

 

support obviously, its a simple change that would take a few minutes to implement and would greatly benefit the entire op pvp community.

I don’t know it is oppvp and kb30 sticks are annoying but it is in the name overpowered things , but support because they prevent me from killing people or getting close to people.

 

this thread was made with the suggestion at focus being removing the OP swords and kb10 sticks from vote rewards. I just gave some alternatives to spark other ideas, these aren’t necessarily what the suggestions main focus is

I do apologise but I’m not the only one with these views. Judging by the amount of supports on this thread compared to yours regarding keeping knock-back in the game, it’s safe to say the majority of the community wants it removed completely.

However, this thread isn’t advocating for the removal of KB, it’s a suggestion for the removal of useless OP Weapons that are received upon voting. Please don’t judge the thread purely based on my opinions on knock back. Instead, I ask you to re-read it, think about whether you use the OP items given to you upon voting (if you don’t vote, why are you even replying to this thread) and base your decision off of that.

 

The OP items in crates are useful for me. I take the OP/Ultra axes, combine to make non-enchanted axes, and use those in an anvil to repair my Epic/Legendary axes

 

I'm not talking about the crates, i'm talking about the kb10 sticks and OP swords you get once you vote. Nothing about KB axes from crates.

 

Well you did say "OP weapons" which includes OP axes. also the kb 10 sticks are also useful and should not be removed.

No, you're still not understanding my point. the OP weapons in question are the ones given to you when you vote. Axes are given in crates.
I'm not advocating for the removal of all KB sticks, you can still get them in kits.

@Porky could I please ask you to re-evaluate your decision based on the suggestion, not the optional ideas I have given as a replacement. (the suggestion is the removal of kb10 sticks and OP swords from vote rewards)

@sabrina I would like to say KITPVP KEYS ARE SO GOOD like its so worth to buy and open the chance of getting useful stuff is 9/10 and I love opening them OP keys are just not very good your lucky to get money once in a while The chances of getting anything good is 2/10

 

Seems like crew is down to update the rewards but doesn't know what to add/change lol
