Please don’t continue this argument, you’ve stated your point and left your opinion on this applicant. Let’s leave it at that. I’ve been promoted on four separate occasions myself. I know I’m not the only one, but I can’t help but feel guilty for setting any sort of example for other staff to feel as though it’s ok. However, it isn’t just four times within a short time span. I’ve been promoted 4 times over the course of 6 years. I originally joined Mineverse in 2013 and was promoted in late 2014. Random has been apart of this community for quite some time as well, and has had a lot of personal events take place that would ultimately leave her inactive for long periods of time if she chose not to resign. She made the decisions because she knew she would be unable to fulfill her duties and not be there for the community. Everyone has an equal chance of being accepted. There is no bias and to ensure that there is none it is generally voted on by the entire staff team. That way after observing how the player interacts in-game and upholds the rules themselves everyone can develop their own opinion. The reason former staff members tend to get re-promoted so often is because they’ve already shown their capabilities and that they are a big asset for our team as a whole. However, there is no favoritism, this does not make us overlook an applicant who has never been accepted before, and that does not decrease anyone’s chances of being promoted. There aren’t a “limited number of spots”, so if she were promoted she would not be taking someone else’s spot. If necessary, we’d take whoever we needed and whoever we saw fit for the position, despite the number. It’s not as popularity driven as you seem to believe, it is about ability and determination that we are able to observe and base our decision on. If there is a player who would be a good fit for our team and hasn’t made their abilities known, then how are we expected to base our opinions on them? You have to be able to represent yourself as a worthy candidate by being active within the community, actively in-game and submitting reports, and offering help wherever needed. I wish you the best of luck, Random.
Support, one of my favourite mods back in the day, I really hope you get another chance. You're so kind and genuine and that's really important in a person, in my opinion of course. Good Luck :D
I think you should stop wasting her time if you're not going to give her any constructive feedback. You clearly have complaints about the way applicants are chosen, but why take it up here? She can do nothing about it. She can still help out the server as a mod if she's promoted, though. Your only real feedback is that she's popular and trusted. Maybe reevaluate why that's a problem? Again, applying for mod is not a competition. Stop saying it is and using that against her. And goddamn, please use some capital letters. My eyes hurt reading this post.
Is this a scam? If it’s not and I logged in just for this reason. Fully support you random, honestly if you don’t know who she is where have you been? She’s overall an amazing candidate for moderator.
