It is sad, but it is absolutely brilliant.

It is made by Kyoto Animation, which suffered an arson attack a year ago which killed 39 people and injured an additional 31. It is considered one of the deadliest massacres in Japan since WWII.

The animation style of KyoAni is one of the most beautiful and most detailed I have seen in a long time. Here's a comparison from anime to reality:

And a couple more pictures because the anime is wonderful:

Sorry for the image spam but it's just too beautiful not to share.

yeah its incredible, the artists have some serious talent and can really show you how beautiful japan is.

i also thought that the anime showed what social anxiety is like through shoya and the crosses over his classmates heads. all round great anime

I thought my hero was popular but the amount of people that don't have it on their list surprises me here, is it that boring to watch or you guys find it too easy to predict?

You aren't the only one. Your Lie in April and A silent Voice made me cry. Though I have to say that Your Lie in April had a much larger impact than A silent Voice. However, the film is very good at controlling ones emotions.

I liked A Silent Voice way more than Your Lie in April, not sure why since Your Lie in April is usually the more popular one

Your Lie in April is an anime that really crawls into your feelings. I personally don't really like that, and I watched it because it was pretty mainstream then. I felt real despair and depression towards the end, and I can't say I enjoyed that. I cried in A Silent Voice because the ending is so beautiful, and not because it's so depressing.

Oh my God, I remember watching these as a kid and I gotta say Kiki's Delivery Service was definitely one of the cutest. Sadly I've grown out of them, but I agree with the fact that these are a must-watch.

I think Kiki's Delivery Service was the first anime I have ever watched. I was like 6 or 7 back then, lol.

And I also started watching The Tatami Galaxy

It is basically about a college dropout who dreams of a wonderful campus life but fails miserably.

I can recommend it to anyone who is very experienced watching anime, because it is really not easy to keep up. It is at least as complex as Bakemonogatari and also keeps a similar psychological level. Watch out, you have to be a super super super fast reader to be able to keep up (I am not even joking, when I started watching it my brain wasn't ready).

You'll probably like it if you...
      ...like psychological animes
...appreciate a special (and kind of weird) art style
      ...are tired of mainstream anime

I like psychological romances or comedies, and that's why enjoy The Tatami Galaxy. Anyway, as always, here are some screenshots/artworks to the anime:

I should demand money for my rewiews and recommendations
